How to become a paid public speaker …

0
Posted By sme-admin on April 5, 2023 Education and Training

International motivational speaker and author of Business Networking for Dummies Stefan Thomas is holding a number of one-day workshop where he’ll coach individuals on how to speak on a public stage and how to find clients who will pay for strong speakers.

Stefan Thomas is an international keynote speaker and trainer and has spoken in front of audiences from two to 2500 people. He’s been a paid public speaker since 2010 and runs his business from Oxfordshire.

“People with a message or expertise have no idea about how to start speaking in the public arena and I can help them do it. I also want to help individuals understand how to turn public speaking into a side hustle or a business for themselves.

“My background is in sales, yet I was the one who’d give readings at family events and things evolved. I was giving a talk at one networking event and was approached by someone who asked how much I’d charge to speak at their company and things went from there.”

Today Stefan regularly gives talks around the world and his clients have included B.T, Lloyds Bank and Utility Warehouse.

“People do get nervous speaking in from of a group of people. I’ll be providing the coping strategies to deal with this. I’ve already been working with business owners who want to build a speaking career. My previous successful events have had great feedback from the attendees.”

Stefan’s bespoke events are limited to four attendees. Before the day, attendees will have a one-to-one with Stefan (online) to discuss the speaking career they want to achieve. In addition, there are course materials, a LinkedIn group for questions, discussions and networking with the other attendees after the event has ended.

“We will pack a lot into seven hours with guest speakers explaining how they kick-started their public speaking careers too. By the end of the seven hours you’ll have learnt not only how to speak better, but how to get paid to do so too.”

The Speaking Retreat is being held on Wednesday 3 May and Wednesday 21 June 2023 from 9am to 4pm at Witney Business and Innovation Centre, Burford Road, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 7DX.  The price of the day is £395+VAT. There will be a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
